The Coalition Hosts 2023 Annual Member’s Meeting and Dinner at IWCE in Vegas

Let your voice be heard: Which day should we host next year’s dinner?

The Safer Buildings Coalition team descended on Las Vegas for the 2023 installment of IWCE. On Monday night, March 27th, we continued the successful tradition of hosting our Annual Member Meeting and Dinner at the beginning of the show. More than 120 of our valued members joined us for a wonderful, educational and, importantly, fun evening. 

Among the many highlights of an eventful evening were presentations by SBC leadership and a keynote on The Future and Public Safety Communications by Billy Bob Brown, Executive Assistant Director for Emergency Communications, Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) / DHS. SBC Vice President and incoming President, David Adams, PCTEL, introduced Mr. Brown.

SBC Executive Director, Chief Alan Perdue, received a special award celebrating 10 years of dedicated service to our organization – and for being the all-around great guy he is!

Also on the agenda: SBC founder Seth Buechley sat down with charismatic tower climber Andrew Leolofi – the star of Vertical Freedom, the absolutely astonishing documentary documenting six, ethnically diverse tower climbers and their remarkable stories.

  • Charlie Shultz, Alliance Corporation
  • SBC Managing Director, John Foley
  • SBC Executive Director, Chief Perdue

SBC President Prince Niyyar, Commdex, looked back at the past year’s SBC successes and offered a glimpse into the future. He also took the opportunity to introduce new SBC Board members and honor past ones for their service.

SBC leadership and many of our members sat on or moderated key panels during the four eventful days in the Nevadan desert. As always, our booth on the Expo Floor was very busy. Thanks to everyone who stopped by to chat, watch our video presentations and check out the new ERCES Handbook.

We traditionally host this event on the first Monday night of IWCE, but would you prefer that we move it to Tuesday or Wednesday in the future?
