The 2024 election for the Safer Buildings Coalition Board of Directors is here! As always, we strongly encourage our members to vote in this election -- Electronic polling is open through August 22nd @11:30PM EDT. 

 

Voting is open until August 22nd @ 11:30 PM PDT. 

The Safer Buildings Coalition is pleased to announce this year's slate of candidates for the Board of Directors:  

Electing this year:

  • Vice President – Term: 1 year
  • At-Large Director [Elect Even Years] – Term: 2 years

 Ballot Instructions

  • ONE Representative from each Paid Tier Organization may submit a ballot. 
  • An email notification was sent to the Primary Point of Contact at each Member Company.
    • The link to the BALLOT FORM was sent recently directly to each company's  Primary  Point of Contact 
    • To update your organization's Primary  Point of Contact(s)please contact us HERESubject: UPDATE PRIMARY POINT OF CONTACT.   

Election Procedure:

  • ONE Representative from each Paid Tier Organization may submit a ballot. This Representative has received an email notice.
    • To update your organization's Primary  Point of Contact(s), please contact us HERE, Subject: UPDATE PRIMARY POINT OF CONTACT   
  • Per the SBC Published Member Tiers and Benefits, votes are weighted by Member Type:
    •  Small and Medium Business Member Organizations get one vote per race, with each vote having a weight of one vote.
    • Corporate and Wireless Carrier Member Organizations get one vote per race, with each vote having a weight of two votes.
  • Each Organization Votes for ONE Candidate in each race.
  • The election will be conducted by electronic ballot. Voting ends 11:30 PM PDT on August 22nd.
  • Candidates earning most total votes will be announced on or before August 29th.
  • Any tie vote will result in a run-off election.

Key Dates

  • The election will be conducted by electronic ballot.
  • Election closes at 11:30 PM PDT on August 22nd.
  • On August 23rd, the SBC Election Committee will validate the results of the election and inform the Board of Directors of the results.
  • Newly Elected Board Members will be announced on or before August 29th.
  • The new Board will be seated at the First SBC Board Meeting in September 2024.
