Brett Bonomo Resume

Position Sought:
At Large

Candidate Statement:
My name is Brett Bonomo, I graduated from Purdue Polytechnic Institute with a degree in Electrical Engineering Technology in 2000.

In 2014 I started Castle Rock Microwave, a company focused on improving public safety through reliable wireless communications.

Prior to starting Castle Rock Microwave, I worked in the manufacturing and sales of wireless technology solutions.

I enjoy spending time in the mountains with my wife and kids, and I contribute to my community through volunteer firefighting (20yrs) and serving on my church’s board of directors.

I have the fortunate pleasure of working in an industry I love, public safety wireless, and being active in an avocation that gives me purpose, firefighting and EMS.

This combination of vocation and avocation uniquely qualifies me to serve on the board of the Safer Building Coalition.

Much of my career has been in the details of wireless technology; surveying sites, performing link budget calculations, building scopes of work, and installing systems. My role has since evolved into one of building a team, motivating them through empowerment and healthy culture, and learning together how to navigate both conflict and success.

I’ve enjoyed great relationships in this industry, to develop friends and colleagues that foster productive business outcomes.

My commitment for involvement in the SBC board is to:

  • Utilize my experience and relationships to further the mission of the SBC
  • Ensure business is conducted in alignment with the organization’s Bylaws
  • Leverage my experience in industry and firefighting to influence practical, helpful policies that improve safety for our first responders and the general public

Please consider my nomination. I hope to earn your vote!
