Georgia Adopts NFPA 1225

The State of Georgia, as per the latest version off the 120-3-3 RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE STATE MINIMUM FIRE SAFETY STANDARDS, has now adopted NFPA 1225.

SBC Town Hall Postponed

As the 2023 SBC Seminar series enters the home stretch, we stopped in the Philly Metro area, specifically Conshohocken, PA. This is the closest we come to an SBC hometown so the three Philly-based SBC staff members, including our Managing Director John Foley, joined around 50 public safety and industry representatives at Conshohocken's Montgomery County Public Safety Training Campus.

At the conclusion of a recent SBC training seminar an integrator that has attended several of our events came up to me to thank me. “Every time I come to one of these seminars,” he said, “I pick up another nugget of information that helps me have a better understanding of what I am really doing as it relates to ERCES.” After he left, I reflected on our conversation, and the concept of a common game many of us played as young kids came to mind.

Codes and Standards Work Group September 2023

Even though we’re technically “between cycles” for many for the codes and standards that impact the coalition, the work group remains busy. In addition, we continue to grow, adding two new members in September. The turnout for our summer virtual meetings has stayed surprisingly consistent with well over 20 active members making each of our monthly calls. Thanks goes out to all the volunteers to help make this possible.
