Update March 2021 - SBC NICET Certification Program and In-Building Reference and Study Guide

The NICET In-Building Public Safety Communications Certification Program, and the accompanying Reference and Study Guide, are making great progress!

Certification Program
NICET is currently in the question writing phase for certification tests for the Design and Tech I certifications. These should be completed by May. Work on Tech II and Tech III exams should begin shortly, with tests available early 3rd quarter.

Writing on the reference and study guide continues at a furious pace. The guide will serve as the de facto reference for all things in-building public safety communications. We are currently working through Illustrations and appendices. 

World Class Partners: National Association of State Fire Marshals (NASFM)
NASFM ( www.firemarshals.org ) is leveraging their decades of expertise in providing project management to our effort to make sure the work is on time, on budget, and of the highest quality. NASFM will also be driving awareness and adoption of the NICET program and the reference to state Fire Marshals all across the US. This is key to driving more consistency in the adoption, interpretation and enforcement of ERCES codes and standards. 

Ensure Your Organization is Present in the Reference and Study Guide
This reference is expected to reach thousands of readers in the first three years of publication, including system integrator students, AHJs and radio system operators. The reference will include an INDUSTRY DIRECTORY where you will absolutely want your organization listed.
