IAFC’s Brandon Allen Joins the Safer Buildings Coalition's Government Relations Workgroup

Safer Buildings’ Strategic and Lobbying Strength Takes a Big Step

The Safer Buildings Coalition is very pleased to announce that Ms. Brandon Allen, Manager of Government Relations at the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC), has agreed to join our Government Relations Workgroup. Ms. Allen is also the staff liaison to the IAFC Communications Committee.

 “The Safer Buildings Coalition is excited to welcome Ms. Brandon Allen to our Government Affairs Workgroup. The ongoing relationship between the SBC and the IAFC has been a significant part of our success and adding Ms. Allen’s expertise to our workgroup will significantly enhance our ability to address state and national legislative efforts related to protecting our first responders as it relates to in-building communications,” Safer Buildings Coalition Executive Director Alan Perdue stated.

Having Brandon join this workgroup constitutes a huge step forward for the Safer Buildings Coalition.

With Ms. Allen on the team, we can now reach the highest levels of fire service leadership in our nation and we will advance on their support in our legislative efforts," Jon Pasqualone, Executive Director at the Florida Fire Marshals and Inspectors Association and head of the Safer Buildings Coalition’s Government Relations Workgroup, explained.

“I look forward to joining the Safer Buildings Coalition Government Relations Working Group and supporting the important work they do to improve the state of in-building connectivity nationwide,” Allen said.

About Brandon Allen

Brandon Allen manages telecommunications, transportation and hazardous materials portfolio within the Government Relations and Policy department of the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC). Her work touches upon the critical areas of interest within communications to the nation's emergency responders, including: reliable and resilient radio and cellular communications capability; location accuracy for 911 callers; emergency alerting; and continued access to spectrum resources. Before joining the IAFC in the autumn of 2018, Brandon worked in the practice of an area intellectual property law firm, having received her master’s degree in European History & Politics from Columbia University just prior.
