I am the current Associate Director of Strategy and Development with FirstNet, built with AT&T, and a retired fire chief and public sector executive with extensive experience managing large-scale communication systems. I have devoted my career to safeguarding lives, fostering collaboration, and driving innovation in public safety. As I step into this new relationship with the Safer Building Coalition, I bring with me not only a wealth of experience but also an unwavering commitment to learning and engagement. Throughout my career, I have embraced the complexities of emergency response environments, tackling significant challenges with creativity and determination. Whether it involved reimagining communication protocols to enhance interoperability or uniting diverse teams toward a shared goal, I have always sought to turn obstacles into opportunities. I believe that solving problems is not just about technical expertise but about understanding the “ground truth” — the reality faced by those on the frontlines. This principle has guided my approach to leadership, ensuring that every decision is informed by the experiences and needs of those we serve.
