VP Candidate: Hilmi Turan
President and CEO Bio: I was born in February 9th 1976 in Istanbul Turkey. I completed my BSEE in Istanbul Technical University in 1998. Since then, I only worked in Wireless industry in my career. I have been in indoor and outdoor DAS world since 2003. I worked as a Senior and Principal RF Design engineer in companies like Ericsson, Commscope, CTS and AT&T until 2013 then I started Sema Wireless in April 2013. Since then our focuses are indoor Public Safety and Cellular DAS systems. At Sema Wireless, I lead a team of Engineers and technicians. Sema Wireless is a full Turn key DAS Systems integrator. My statement to the Members. Safer Buildings Coalition is the first subject I talk about and advertise when I meet Building and Fire Departments of every city. I make sure the Building and Fire Departments feel safer and more confident about the systems we build in their jurisdiction because we are a part of this great organization. I invite them to our events and eventually include them to our network. If I am selected, I will allocate more time to encourage jurisdictions to learn more about Safer Buildings Coalition and make sure they understand the member System Integrators and equipment manufacturers are more up to date when it comes to the Fire Code and the technology than others. |
