FCC Issues Notice on Part 90 Signal Boosters
Posted on December 20, 2019 The Federal Communications Commission (FCC), on December 11th, issued a Reminder Of The Obligations Of Non-Licensees That Operate Part 90 Private Land Mobile Radio Signal Boosters.
The notice serves to remind building owners and other non-licensee operators of Part 90 Private Land Mobile Radio (PLMR) signal boosters that they may not operate these boosters until they: (a) obtain the express written consent of the licensee(s) whose signals they would re-transmit and (b) register Class B signal boosters1 with the Federal Communications Commission (Commission) at the website: www.fcc.gov/signal-boosters/registration. Failure to do so risks harmful interference to first responders and others and may subject you to enforcement action.
