Dominic Villecco Resume

Candidate Statement:

Dear SBC Members,

My name is Dominic C. Villecco, President and Founder of V-COMM, L.L.C., and I am seeking your vote to serve as Vice President of the Safer Buildings Coalition Board of Directors. V-COMM’s work in the ERCES and Cellular DAS arena has been profoundly impacted by the work of SBC, which is why I am excited to run for this Board position — to continue and expand that impact for our industry.

For 45 years, I have engineered, designed, and operated complex telecommunications networks, including cellular, LMR, microwave, and fiber broadband systems. Since founding V-COMM 30 years ago, we have remained at the forefront of the industry, specializing in high-profile in-building CMRS and LMR networks for the past two decades. Assisting with the recent SBC Petition for Rulemaking pertaining to ERCES boosters, V-COMM helped by using experience gained nearly a decade ago when petitioning the FCC for Part 20 Rule changes to cellular boosters. As a long-standing member of SBC, we firmly believe in the vital work this organization achieves for our industry and public safety.

Beyond technical expertise, I bring a proven track record of wireless association leadership. I served on the New Jersey Wireless Association (NJWA) Board of Directors for nearly 18 years, including four years as Vice President and four years as President. Notably, I initiated and represented the NJWA before the FCC in a relentless, 10-year campaign to stop the diversion of collected 911 fees in New Jersey. This effort required testifying in our state capital and collaborating closely with state and federal elected officials, corporate leaders, and other non-profits.

Furthermore, my background includes developing and executing multimillion-dollar corporate budgets domestically and internationally. I am ready to apply this fiscal oversight, regulatory experience, and industry insight to guide SBC’s strategic growth.

I respectfully ask for your vote for Vice President of the Board of Directors, so that together, we can continue trailblazing the industry and fulfilling our mission of solving in-building wireless dead zones for the safety of the American public.
