Safer Buildings Back on the Road

Tampa Seminar, Wireless Oklahoma, and a full slate of upcoming events

Posted on July 29, 2021

After a year of virtual events, SBC is back on the road doing what we do best: educating and interacting with the in-building public safety ecosystem. Virtual events are very useful – but nothing takes the place of connecting live.

A crowd of over 70 attendees was present to hear the updated SBC presentation. The group was lively and interactive, with very good Q&A throughout the sessions. Participating in the presentation were our event sponsors: Charlie Schulz of Alliance Telecom, Joe Rohlic of RadioOne, and Hugo Sulbaran of Comba.

A highlight of the event was the joint announcement  by SBC and NICET’s Chip Hollis that the NICET In-Building Public Safety (IB-PSC) Certification is now available!

It was really great to be back on the road, and we kicked off the SBC 2021 seminar series (more dates to be announced this month) with a welcome dinner for our valued sponsors.

But there was no time to bask in the great atmosphere of Tampa’s Firefighter Museum, as we went straight to TPA to catch a flight to OKC (via DFW, of course) to participate in the Wireless Oklahoma Event.

This event was very important in establishing a better presence and visibility in the State of Oklahoma. The event is the vision of SBC Member organization RFIP, led by CEO Brandon Clark. The innovative format afforded each exhibiting sponsor a mini-theater for continuous presentations, and the SBC booth was in use wire to wire with presentations and Q&A dialed in for each group that stopped by.
