Q: What are the benefits of Voltserver’s technology for in-building wireless and public safety communications enhancement systems?
A:  DE provides remote power where it is needed the with energy capabilities of AC with the safety and low cost characteristics of PoE

  • DE power can be distributed in the same pathway as fiber or within a composite cable
  • DE enables a Centralized Power Plant for Resiliency, replacing distributed UPS or batteries
  • Modular Design & Dark Copper enable for future growth – minimizes future cost due to upgrade facilities based on tenant improvements

Q: Why did Voltserver join the Safer Buildings Coalition?
A:

  • To educate AHJ’s on alternative power distribution models for Public Safety DAS that can be more cost effective to reduce the cost to the building owner
  • To influence code writing that can enable more cost effective ERRCS for greater adoption and less resistance by building owners
