Long-time Safer Buildings Coalition member ADRF has announced two new lines of UL 2524-certified public safety communications products - the PSR-U and BBx-U Series of public safety repeaters and battery backups. The products are licensed/certified both individually and as a comprehensive system. The PSR-U and BBx-U Series are also the first to receive the Enhanced UL Certification Mark for UL 2524, second edition.

"It's an honor to extend congratulations to ADRF on achieving Certification to UL 2524 Second Edition for several of their products used in the Public Safety arena. Obtaining compliance with UL Standards on Fire & Life Safety Equipment provide a pathway for Fire Code Officials to verify that products have been tested to ensure they will perform their intended function. It always great to see companies like ADRF take the proactive step to position themselves in the marketplace with equipment that can meet the requirements and the needs of the Public Safety community," SBC Executive Director Chief Alan Perdue (Ret.) said.

UL 2524, second edition, covers products including repeater, transmitter, receiver, signal booster components, remote annunciators and operational consoles, power supply, and battery charging system components to be employed in accordance with the following Model Building and Installation Codes: NFPA 1, NFPA 72, NFPA 101, NFPA 1221, and the International Fire Code (IFC).
