Katina Madianos-Fiore will focus on onboarding new members and overseeing membership to ensure continual satisfaction and growth

The Safer Buildings Coalition is very happy to announce the latest addition to the team – our new Association Manager, Katina Madianos-Fiore.

In her role as Association Manager, Katina is responsible for onboarding new members and overseeing membership to ensure continual satisfaction and growth. Working collaboratively with SBC leaders, Katina will provide operational and strategic input to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the output of the organization. Her goal is to build a strong, involved and cooperative member base that works together successfully to further the SBC mission.

Katina’s background is primarily in non-profit and association management, with some time spent in public service. She comes to us most recently from the National Tactical Officers Association (NTOA), a training and advocacy organization for law enforcement where she handled membership, member services and a product testing program. She has worked in and around Philadelphia for such diverse nonprofits as the American Red Cross, Legacy Youth Tennis and Education and a non-profit professional sports event. Her focus has been on overseeing membership and member services, planning and executing special events, creating communications pieces, garnering corporate sponsorships, liaising with volunteers and committees, organizing community relations projects and everything in between. Her previous association management experience was with the Montgomery Bar Association and the NTOA.

Katina has a BS in political science from Drexel University and an MPA from the Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service at New York University. During and after graduate school, she worked in the Mayor’s Office in Manhattan, responding to and solving constituent complaints and emergency situations across New York City.

She lives just outside Philadelphia and has two daughters, one dog and two guinea pigs (plus a handful of fish.)

“I'm thrilled to be a part of the team at the Safer Buildings Coalition. The mission to ensure the safety of the public and First Responders is one I am behind 100%. Working with our members to ultimately provide them with the best opportunity for increased education, networking and promotion of their shared interests is my goal. Going forward I'm excited to meet our members at various seminars and events and look to continually expand our member and sponsor base and our influence in the public safety domain”, Katina said.

Welcome aboard, Katina.
